Item Description
Japan-law twin quartz is VERY RARE from the famous mines at Dalnegorsk, Russia. This showy and excellent plate features a 3.3 cm wide, Japan-law quartz twin aesthetically set in the myriad of quartz crystals, that are all preferentially dusted with iron oxides. The only broken crystals are along the periphery of this fine and rare piece. The piece was recovered from the 2nd Sovietskiy Mine in 2007, according to the dealer label. I reviewed all 13 pages (124 specimens) of Dalnegorsk quartz shown in the MINDAT website and did not see another Japan-law twin quartz crystal listed for any Dalnegorsk mine.
