Item Description

An exquisite Japan-law twin miniature quartz combination from the Peru locale, well-known for such fine quartz specimens and excellent epidote specimens. The textbook tabular twins are lustrous, striated, water-clear to lightly frosted and have stiking sharp beveled edges. Both sides of the twin are aesthetically accented with large and small quartz points adding dramatic charcter. This cutie has a very fine provenance. We are truly honored to present this specimen from another lot of deaccessions from the collection of Jack Halpern of San Francisco (for more info: https://www.irocks.com/the-jack-halpern-collection). Jack obtained this piece from John White, former Curator of Minerals at the Smithsonian and Founder and Publisher of The Mineralogical Record. This is an extremely aesthetic 360-degree example of Japan-law twin quartz from Peru. Valued $1000-1250
