Item Description
Jamesonite is RARE from the famous mines at Naica. Wispy needles, to about 1.8 cm, and needle bundles are concentrated on one side of this showy and excellent combination plate from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Nifty quartz crystal sprays are concentrated by the jamesonites. The rest of the undulating matrix is covered with very glassy, complex calcites rhombs, to about 1.2 cm. There also appears to be rare green Chlorite Group species on both the front and back of the piece. Excellent and rare combination material. A must for the species or locality collector. Orange-pink calcite fluorescence. The Sorgaroli label lists boulangerite, but MINDAT does not list that species for Naica.
