Item Description

Jamesonite is RARE from this ancient silver mine first worked by the Etruscans! Rich nests of splendent jamesonite needles to about 1.5 cm are noted on the front and one side of the mounded massive quartz matrix. Accessories include sharp, glassy quartz crystals and lessor amounts of galena, siderite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite crystals. A rare, rich, showy and classic combination specimen from this historic mine and the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection, obtained in a trade with the Rome Geological Museum in 1962.
