Item Description
A hard to find example of the very rare of the hydrated nickel cobalt sulfate hydroxide from one of the co-type localities for the species. This mineral was named in 1973 after Canadian mineralogist, John L. Jambor. This piece features a few spots with beautiful bright greenish-yellow "sprays" of Jamborite on Quartz and Calcite matrix. It's best viewed with a microscope or a loupe, but this is often the case for very rare species such as this. If you collect rarities or minerals from the type locality, don't miss out on this one. The piece is from the Paolo Matioli Collection.
