Item Description

Check out this hard to find reddish Jade "Pear" cabochon cut gem from Burma! This material is Jadeite (not Nephrite) Jadeitite, and hails from the Hpakan-Tawmaw Jade Tract of northern Burma. This is 100% NATURAL material here, no dyes or treatments. The color is certainly different than what one would expect to be sure, but from my experience, the better known green material is probably 10 times more common than its reddish cousins. Jade is one of the most popular "non gem quality" stones around, and stones with this color are certainly highly sought after by collectors. If you have always wanted one of these stones, don't miss out on this great opportunity to pick up a good quality stone of a rare color. PLEASE NOTE: The embargo implemented by the United States government states that there will NOT be ANY Burmese Jade imported to U.S. soil after 2008. One can only purchase gems that were imported prior to the embargo. From now on, these Burmese stones will be very difficult to obtain. Buy this gem now because they will be disappearing from the market rapidly.
