Item Description
Of the semi-precious gems, Jade is certainly one of the most popular, and sometimes most expensive in the world. Most of the Jade you'll see is "non gem quality", and typically opaque, though transparent material does exist and commands the highest price on the market. The beautiful traditional green color is what attracts collectors. Here we have a carved Jade ring with a very pastel mint green color with a few darker green spots mixed in. The ring is translucent for all intents and purposes. Now I don't know for certain if it has been treated, but based upon the lighter color and the translucency, my guess is that it's more than likely UN-treated. It is a very attractive stone and truly glows when backlit. This stone is a pre-embargo import from many years ago, and would make a great addition to any gem collection as they are not as easy to purchase as they were years ago. The size on the ring is 6 ¾.
