Item Description

Jade (Nephrite) is one of the most popular "non gem quality" stones around. The material is often only translucent, but the beautiful traditional green color is what attracts collectors. This carving has a gentle light green color, and is translucent for all intents and purposes. Now I don't know for certain if it has been treated, but based upon the lighter color and the translucency, my guess is that it's more than likely UN-treated. It is a very attractive item and glows when backlit. Chinese Jade items are not as easy to purchase as they were years ago.
