Item Description
Jade is one of the most celebrated stones in the world. For thousands of years, it has been admired and cherished by many cultures for its beauty and durability. Of the semi-precious gems, Jade is certainly one of the most popular, and sometimes most expensive in the world. Most of the Jade you'll see is "non gem quality", and typically opaque, though transparent material does exist and commands the highest price on the market. The beautiful traditional green color is what attracts collectors. Here we have an "Oval Cabochon" cut stone from British Columbia with a mossy green color with good gemminess when backlit. Now I don't know for certain if it has been treated, but based upon the color and the translucency, my guess is that it's more than likely UN-treated. It is a very attractive piece and a unique gift idea for someone who likes jade.
