Item Description

The well-known Gibeon meteorite fall took place in prehistoric times over a large area (strewn field) of the Hardap Region of Namibia. It is an iron meteorite (iron-nickel alloy) classified as a fine octahedrite. This is a fine sawed slab of this classic material from the find. 23 grams mass.
