Item Description
Stunning and colorful large mounded plate studded with sharp, translucent, pretty rich orange iron oxide-tinted quartz points from the well-known and limited early 2000s finds at the 2nd Sovietskii Mine at Dalnegorsk. The striking prisms reach about 2.7 cm. The orange crystals are set on a matrix of drusy quartz with green hedenbergite beneath. Very nearly pristine, for all the crystal density, with very few broken crystals. Certainly acceptable. These orange quartz specimens are a signature species from this world-class polymetallic deposit famed for sulfides, fluorite, calcite and other species. Valued at $2500 and worth it.
