Item Description

Scattered glassy, elongated nail-head calcite crystals, to 2.8 cm, are a striking accent to this impressive large 3-dimensional specimen of ball-like clusters of intergrown pyrite crystals from the famous Sweetwater Mine. The brassy botryoids have variable iridescence, adding pizzazz. The bit of periphery wear and few bruised calcites have minimal impact to the excellent quality. One side of the piece has tiny lustrous dolomite rhombs, adding more character and color to this large artistic and uncommon pyrite style combination from the Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
