Item Description

Pyrite pseudomorphs after calcite crystals are RARE from this historic district. Sharp, iridescent, brassy, pyrite cubes have pseudomorphed a striking, 5.6 cm swallow-tailed calcite crystal elegantly perched atop a mound of lustrous galena cubes. Much of the galena is peppered with sparkly, iridescent, pyrite microcrystals. Two of the three pseudo terminations are gently bruised. This remains an outstanding and rare, old pseudo from this famed area. VERY FINE example of this material! valued $400-500
