A superlative, rare and rich, old-time gold specimen from the historic mines at Schemnitz. A gorgeous and aesthetic filagree of herringbone spinel-twinned gold crystals has fabulous iridescence. The gold is probably very rare for the locale, electrum, gold having over 20 weight percent of silver, which causes the iridesence.
