Item Description
From an incredible recent find: this stalactite looks like something out of science fiction! This crazily iridescent and colorful goethite has botryoidal form on the surface which reflects its pink, red, gold, orange and other colors in every direction. Goethite is usually such a boring mineral, but now and then, as here, it can be incredibly flashy. The crazy iridescence is on all sides of this piece and this piece has fabulous form stretched, gum-like, botryoid clusters on all sides! The stalactite has a contacted termination, which is typical for these specimens. All sides are pristine on this one, which is uncommon for the pieces we obtained. In the past, we had some specimens from China sort of like these, though different in form, and they were hugely popular. An amazingly colorful and beautiful form of a common mineral.
