Item Description
Iridescent, splendent metallic andorite from this well-known mine. The older excellent platy, pristine, well-formed floater thumbnail is doubly terminated. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 8588 and acquired from the Cisneros' in the Summer of 1978. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). This large old tin-silver mine is famous for outstanding sulfosalt species and this cutie is an exceptional older thumbnail example of this uncommon Ag-Pb-Sn sulfosalt species.
