Iridescent Covellite on Pyrite (old classic)

Item Description

An iridescent, peacock-blue and magenta "sail" of intergrown covellite blades proudly stands aloft from the covellite-covered microcrystalline pyrite matrix on this aesthetic and excellent combination old-timer from the famous mines at Butte. Most of the "sail" is very sharply terminated and the periphery wear on the edge is certainly a modest detraction. Classic, fine Butte covellite combination material.
