Summitville, Colorado covellite of this quality is rarer than Butte covellite and is considered by many to be the finest covellite in the world. This striking upright, three-sided specimen features large, intergrown metallic plates of iridescent, golden, peacock-blue and magenta covellite on all sides. Solid covellite, this is a very fine example of the species and famous locale.
