Item Description
Fine crystallized copper specimens are quite rare from the Cobre Mine at Concepcion del Oro. A wonderfully aesthetic arborescent cluster of sharp tetrahexahedral copper crystals with spinel-twinned form. The crystals at the top of the piece have an amazing rainbow of iridescent colors! The "tail" at the base adds much pazzazz and the piece looks great from either side. The Collector's Choice (Prince's) and Dave Stoudt labels say Paranderos, Durango, Mexico, a locality that MINDAT does not recognize so may be a local place name since changed from the days when Consie and Dalton Prince were going down there.. Valued at $400.
