Item Description
Stunning, beautiful variable iridescent hues on the aesthetic 3.1 cm floret of sharp, golden chalcopyrite sphenoids. The chalcopyrites are artistically set on the dramatic, tabular, doubly terminated quartz crystal with projecting sidecar quartz crystals. The very glassy and lustrous quartz is highlighted by the sharp chisel termination and is water-clear to translucent. Close examination of the quartz crystals reveals that the several contacts are healed and overgrown with faces. Highly unusual, making this technically a floater specimen. This is a surreal and exceptional chalcopyrite and quartz combination from the famed Yaogangxian Mine.
