Beautiful golden iridescence with stunning areas of magenta and peacock-blue plus striking striated faces highlight this impressive and sculptural cluster of large chalcopyrite sphenoids from this famous Peru mining district. The sphenoids reach a substantial 4.0 cm on this noteworthy 360-degree example from the Ted Bartels Collection. Complete all-around and nearly pristine with only one interior ding noted. Bonus accessories on the bottom are bright brassy pyritohedrons, a quartz spray and sphalerite. These are very large and excellent chalcopyrites for the locale.
