Item Description
Bournonite specimens are rare from this well-known Peruvian mine, famous for outstanding silver sulfosalt species. Sharp, moderately lustrous and iridescent, steel-gray, bournonite cogwheels to 1.5 cm are aesthetically scattered on the slightly mounded sulfide matrix covered with brassy pyrite pyritohedrons and a few quartz crystals. Pristine. Rare and excellent material from the Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased from David New in 1989. A must for the species or locality collector.
