Inyoite with Meyerhofferite

Inyoite is a rare borate. This excellent and showy specimen is dominated by a glassy, transparent, 5.5 cm, pseudorhombic crystal next to smaller inyoites on matrix. A scattering of snow-white meyerhofferite needles is a nice accent. This is a fine, large example with the contacting on the back being out of sight. These specimens come from a recent, but small find in an arid, high altitude valley of Argentina. Few great crystals were recovered, and these remain a rarity. Valued $750
