Item Description

Inyoite is a rare hydrated borate found in evaporite deposits. A striking, sharp, pristine, glassy, 4.5 cm on the diagonal pseudo-rhombic crystal is dramatically set on the sculptural matrix of smaller crystals. The lustrous rhomb is partially coated and included and altering to fibrous lathes of snow-white meyerhofferite, adding character and pizzazz. A very fine display quality combination small cabinet from a small 2005 find. These are some of the finest inyoites in the world.
