Item Description
Superb combination piece of deep orange-pink Inesite crystals growing in attractive, radiating sprays. The lustrous needles are over 1 cm in length. Associated with the Inesite is Hubeite (Type Locality), Chalcopyrite (rare sharp crystals), sparkly Apophyllite, and a druse of Quartz. Hubeite is an ULTRA-RARE silicate, approved as a species in 2000 and found ONLY at the Daye Mine in China. The Chalcopyrite is an excellent, 1.1 cm crystal with great metallic luster and classic chevron striations. The druzy Quartz coats the back and top of the Inesite with a sparkly shawl. This is a SUPER RICH and VERY SHOWY specimen, festooned with light to dark, well-terminated crystals, and beautifully complimented by a matrix of glassy, tabular Apophyllite crystals. A superb specimen.
