A very fine and aesthetic thumbnail specimen of lustrous, lavender inesite blades to 1.0 cm filling a vug jauntily set atop matrix from the famous Hale Creek Mine in California. For sharp, euhedral crystals, these inesites are unmatched crystallographically by the spiky elongated crystals coming from China and South Africa, I would say. Ex Will Henderson Collection, a well-known, longtime mineral author and collector. He was formerly a columnist for the Mineralogical Record. This is the first Hale Creek inesite we have offered at auction in over 3 years.
