Item Description

When it comes to Inesite, it's safe to say that the most well-known locality for the species in North America (and possibly the Western Hemisphere) is the Hale Creek Mine in Trinity County, California. The distinctive color along with the beautiful crystallization makes for some iconic mineral specimens. This full sized miniature features dozens of gorgeous, sharp, lustrous, prismatic crystals of rose pink or thulian pink colored Inesite measuring up to 1.0 cm long sitting on black host rock matrix. The majority of the crystals are in very good shape, though there is a bit of roughness here and there. Overall it's quite a showy display piece and features some larger than average, excellent quality crystals. The piece comes with a label from the Cynthia Payne Collection along with an old label from The Lesnicks. Valued at $800.
