Item Description

Inesite is not found from many localities in North America, and largely the Western Hemisphere in fine crystallized specimens. it's safe to say that the most well-known locality for the species in the United States is the Hale Creek Mine in Trinity County, California. The distinctive color along with the beautiful crystallization makes for some iconic mineral specimens. This miniature piece features gorgeous, sharp, well-formed prismatic crystals of rose pink colored Inesite (some of which have a black oxide coating in spots) measuring up to 1.7 cm long sitting on minor matrix. The majority of the crystals are in very good shape, though there is a bit of roughness here and there. Overall it's quite a showy display piece and features some larger than average, excellent quality crystals.
