Item Description
Lustrous and translucent, pretty rose-red, bladed rosettes of inesite blades cover the thin crust on this very impressive CABINET specimen from the famous Wessels Mine. This piece is from the small, mid-1980s find and was very desirable, for the time. It was in fact in the Charlie Key collection as his example of a large plate from this find. Now, more recent material from Wessels has brighter red color, but is distinctly different, and these are rare older classics seldom seen. In fact, this material is rarer, than the mid-1990s, Wessels Mine material. So, this is a classic, rare and large NChwaning inesite. Valued at $1000-1200.
