Item Description
Some of the finest examples of Inesite are those from the Kalahari Manganese Field in South Africa. This small cabinet specimen features a fairly rich coverage of deep reddish-orange colored thin prismatic crystals, which have formed semi-radial groups and/or "sprays" on matrix. A small amount of Calcite and Baryte can be seen on the underside of the specimen. Largely undamaged, very attractive, and rarer in this quality from N’Chwaning as opposed to from Wessels. These darker red crystals are highly prized by aficionados of the region.
