Item Description

Good blue tourmaline is the rarest sort from Afghani pegmatites. A beautiful and fine example of bi-colored indicolite from Afghanistan. The highly lustrous, well-striated crystal is capped by a thick, 1.0 cm, gorgeous, intense teal-blue gem zone above the opaque, super-dark purple/black body. The termination is like a mirror. The attached albite is a stark contrast. Complete-all-around, the indicolite is nearly pristine, with only a very trivial bit of termination edge wear. This is an excellent example of the species and locale. Valued $1000-1500. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
