Item Description

Pederneira tourmalines of this most unusual and sculptural combination are rare, indeed! Enechelon pearlescent, transparent to translucent clevealandite plates are dramatically set on the termination of a beautiful gemmy and lustrous teal-blue indicolite crystal. You can see pretty pastel-pink terminations below the cleavelandites on the upper edge of the very glassy, parallel-growth crystal, which adds color and character. Two clusters of elongated tan lepidolites add even more pizzazz to this to this striking piece from the Uwe Strauss Collection. One edge and part of the opposite edge are broken on the cleavelandite, but have very minimal impact to the overall very high and rare quality of this combination tourmaline. The tourmaline is pristine. 18 grams mass.
