Item Description
The gemmy, 7 mm, pastel-blue termination really sets off this striking and unusually shaped, parallel-growth indicolite tourmaline from Paprok. The highly lustrous, well-striated, very dark blue specimen is flattened and has a very well-developed notch between the two intergrown crystals. The termination is etched and a portion is pastel-pink. Complete all-around, this is a doubly terminated crystal. The back is embedded with pink tourmaline with a bit of contacting and only very moderate bruising. The upper termination has only two small spots of edge wear. The lower termination is partially covered with green tourmaline and over a half is bruised. This is a large and interestingly shaped indicolite from this noted locale. 377 grams. Valued at $1800.
