Indicolite Tourmaline

The blue shade of Tourmaline is commonly referred to as "Indicolite", but it's not an actual species. Of all the colors of Tourmaline in the world, blue is one of the most popular amongst collectors and dealers. This gem is a nice little stone with a beautiful "Indicolite" blue color and a standard "Round Brilliant" cut. The stone is very slightly included, and the color is very pleasing. Tourmalines are not often found in eye clean gems, in fact, they are classified as a "Type 3" stone which means that the large majority of gems are included and these inclusions are accepted by collectors and dealers, so a stone like this is about par for the course. A lovely Indicolite Tourmaline gem that would look great in a piece of jewelry, or alone in a gem box on display.
