Of all the colors of Tourmaline in the world blue is one of the most popular amongst collectors and dealers. This gem is a wonderful example of the famous "Indicolite" Tourmalines with a saturated dark blue color and a standard "oval brilliant" cut. The stone is virtually eye-clean and the color really comes out with strong light. Tourmalines are not often found in eye clean gems, in fact, they are classified as a "Type 3" stone which means that the large majority of gems are included and these inclusions are accepted by collectors and dealers, so eye clean stones are a real treat to find. A great Indicolite Tourmaline gem that would look great in a piece of jewelry, or alone in a gem box on display.
