Indicolite Tourmaline

Indicolite is the term used to for blue Tourmalines (named for "indigo"), which are highly sought after in certain parts of the gem world. This stone is from Brazil, and it's a lovely little "Oval" cut gem with slight inclusions and a pleasing rich blue color. Tourmaline is classified as Type-3 gemstone, which means that inclusions (even small ones) are typically present, and accepted by jewelers, collectors and dealers, so the minor inclusions in this gem are what one could expect in most Tourmalines.
