Item Description

The world-famous Pederneira Mine in Brazil for decades has been a source of some truly iconic Tourmaline specimens. This locality is celebrated for not only the superior quality and size of crystals, but the fact that they are found in a rainbow of colors. This piece is a classic gemmy Indicolite Tourmaline from circa 2010 finds. The lustrous, striated, steel-blue prismatic trigonal crystal is VERY GEMMY and is complete all around. The piece has one clean repair, which is certainly acceptable in the context of these specimens, as nearly all of the bigger crystals from this mine have been repaired. VERY DIFFICULT to photograph/video correctly with the gemminess, luster and striations. Better in person. Specimen weight is 7.40 grams. A fine, classic gem Pederneira Indicolite.
