Indicolite Tourmaline

Tourmaline is an incredibly colorful mineral, and nearly every shade of Tourmaline has been given its own varietal name. Blue Tourmalines are often called "Indicolite", and some of the best examples are those from Brazil. These gems are some of the most popular amongst collectors and dealers. This gem is has a beautiful "Indicolite" blue color and a traditional "Emerald" cut. The stone is only moderately included, but Tourmalines are not often found in eye clean gems, as they are classified as a "Type 3" stone which means that the large majority of gems are included and these inclusions are accepted by collectors and dealers, so eye clean stones are a real treat to find. A nice Indicolite Tourmaline gem that would look great in a piece of jewelry, or alone in a gem box on display.
