Item Description
Smoky quartz is rare from the famous pegmatites of Afghanistan and is even rarer, when associated with beautiful indicolite tourmalines. Two classic indicolites are jauntily inset on the side of a tranlucent, glassy, flattened, doubly teminated, smoky quartz crystal. The indicolite is 2.5 x 1.7 cm. The tourmalines have glassy, transparent terminations followed by a narrow, darker teal-blue section. Gemmy, light teal-blue is followed by darker teal-blue, then opaque purple or black. A bit of edge wear is noted on the indicolites. The smoky is in really good shape, with only periphery wear on the indicolite side. The smoky spearpoint termination is nearly complete all-around. A very showy and rare combo from Paprok.
