Item Description

This beautiful gemmy and lustrous elbaite has rich indicolite blue color, a dark purple upper end and a strange, fiber optic-looking, etched white lower termination. The primary end looks to be a cleave, with the conchoidal fracture. A modest bit of termination edge wear is noted on the backside of the dark end. The blue color is superlative under bright light. A very nifty and highly unusual older elbaite from this renowned locale from the Art Soregaroli Collection. 33.6 carats or over 6.5 grams mass.
