This piece came to us without a specific mine / locality, and as Rock Currier once said, "Trying to find an accurate locality for gem minerals in Brazil is like trying to pin down a moonshiner's still", so we're forced to simply leave it at Minas Gerais. With that said, it's a very attractive miniature Tourmaline crystal with a beautiful blue "Indicolite" interior. The base of the crystal shows a tiny bit of green and pink hues. The pyramidal termination is nearly white and has a semi-fibrous "cat's eye" effect when rotated in the light. Very good quality all around with no major damage, save the base where it detached from the pocket wall. A great piece to add to a Brazilian suite or a collection of Tourmaline crystals.
