Item Description
Inderite is a RARE hydrated borate with magnesium and Gowerite is an EXTREMELY RARE hydrated borate with calcium. The well-known Furnace Creek Mining District is the Type Locality for Gowerite. Here, we have both together on an unusually aesthetic specimen. This EXCEPTIONALLY RARE and sculptural small cabinet combination features a striking 3.3 cm "ball" of densely intergrown spherical aggregates of glassy, acicular Gowerite crystals aesthetically attached to a slightly bent column of partially coated, glassy, transparent to translucent Inderite prisms. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection. Super rare, perhaps UNIQUE, and very showy combination material from the Gowerite Type Locality. A MUST for the species or locality collector!
