important, large Native Lead

An important large Native Lead from the most famous locality for such specimens - Langban, Sweden. These mostly date to the 1800s, I have been told, and generally come out now only from museum collections (as this one did). Native lead in any form is extremely rare. This old, classic small cabinet is mostly ash-gray and has a coral-like look. Subhedral to rounded masses are noted. The piece displays well from either side. Very rich and hefty lead at 744 grams or 1.6 pounds. Specimens of this size and quality are SELDOM on the market! Valued at $2000-2500 or more. ex George Elling collection
