Item Description
This crystal surely is among the largest of the species without repair, known. A very large, lustrous, reddish to yellowish-brown brookite crystal from the Alpine clefts of the Kharan District, it was found in the early 2000s before the flood of gemmier but smaller crystals came out. The well-terminated and striated crystal is opaque. Some broken edges are noted only lower down near to the base, and this should beconsidered therefore a large, significant example of the species and locale both. from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. valued $2500 or more.
