Item Description

RARE yellow Fresnoite crystals and some colorful crystal sections, to 8 mm, are scattered on the face of the sculptural large serpentine matrix richly covered with contrasting, sharp, textbook, porcelaneous, white Analcime crystal trapezohedrons, to 9 mm. Fresnoite is a rare barium-titanium silicate, with some of the best examples coming from the Junnila Mine. White Fresnoite fluorescence under SW UV light and lime-green fluorescence of an unknown mineral species, perhaps Hyalite Opal. These were collected by Scott Kleine in the late 1990s. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection No. 6347 and acquired in 1996. This is a HUGE example of fresnoite matrix with crystals, as most specimens are very small.
