important Brazilianite on Albite & Muscovite (ex Hefendehl Coll.)

Item Description

Brazilianite from Brazil remains unique among all worldwide minerals, somehow never surpassed outside the country with the biggest finds and crystals. It has been found elsewhere, but not in large, beautiful crystals. So, the Brazilian material has come in spurts in small pockets separated over decades since discovery, and this is from a particularly notable early 2000s era find. This is a dramatically sculptural and aesthetic stacked cluster of beautiful spearhead-shaped, bladed, gemmy/translucent classic yellow-green brazilianite crystals from early 2000s finds. They work together to make the whole structure more impactful and three-dimensional. The dominating vertical crystal is 6.7 cm, the striking crystal on the crest is 5.2 cm; and the third partially doubly terminated horizontal crystal on the side is 5.0 cm. Contrasting white albite crystals and a few muscovite books are very complementary and typical accessories. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection. This is a large, important specimen for this particular style that, if we bought separately, would have to be a five figure specimen. As it came in a large collection of thousands of pieces, it is available for auction, when such things normally sell for $10-20k range. This is not simply representative, it is a significant specimen.
