Item Description

A fine, gemmy single crystal of rich orange Imperial Topaz with a typical steep termination. The color in this crystal is good for this size. It is orange, and by no means "brownish". A minor nick keeps it from being 100% perfect, but it's still a great large thumbnail / toenail from this world famous locality that has produced some of the most incredible color Topaz crystals in the world. The piece weighs 6.00 grams even. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
