Item Description
Here we have a cool older set of 7 crystals of the classic Imperial Topaz from Brazil which date back to the early 1970s. The crystals are single sharp, well-formed, lustrous, gemmy prisms. They are all terminated and good reference specimens of this well-known material. I can tiny imperfections with magnification, but no major damage. The color ranges from an orange hue in the larger crystals to a soft golden color in the smaller ones. From the collection of Colorado mineral dealer and collector, Richard Kosnar - the namesake for the phosphate Kosnarite. Rich used to import thousands of specimens from the Brazil to the United States in the 1970s. The set weighs 10.40 carats.
