Item Description

A wonderful older set of 3 crystals of classic Brazilian Imperial Topaz dating back to the early 1970s. All three crystals are single, sharp, well-formed, lustrous, gemmy, single prisms. Each crystal is good quality, but there are tiny imperfections that can be see with magnification. The color ranges from an orange hue in the largest crystal to a pinkish hue in the next largest crystal and ending with more of a yellow overtone in the smaller crystals. From the collection of Colorado mineral dealer and collector, Richard Kosnar - the namesake for the phosphate Kosnarite. Rich used to import thousands of specimens from the Brazil to the United States in the 1970s.
