Classic, gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, pristine, "Imperial" Topaz from Ouro Preto. The glassy, striated crystal has beautiful, variable golden-orange color and excellent fire. The internal veils add character. The embedded bit of matrix at the base on one side imparts the orange color. Ouro Preto Imperial Topaz is a "Holy Grail" topaz varietal, that most collectors look for. 33.46 carats or 6.69 grams mass. Excellent, highly representative topaz from the famous locale. Consigned from a collector, old material.
